[ENG]

The garment, originally a beige-colored Raso Gommato with aluminum-colored detachable interior, was extremely damaged by stains released by the decayed solid polyurethane layer.

Therefore, the first step was to soak the entire garment in a solution of water and chemical solvents to remove the polyurethane stains.

The chemical structure of the Liner and hood was found to be 100% polyamide i.e., a synthesized polymer. It was then possible by a process of induced oxidation using thermal additives to achieve a color alteration in the fabric, which took on a bronze appearance.

Finally, the garment was dyed in a deep black bath at 60º centigrade.
