“A DAY IN THE MOUNTAINS” AW25/26 SHOOTING

“They advised me not to venture into the woods, especially on a rainy day, as the mud would not be my ally, nor would the cold of the mountains.

Unfortunately or fortunately, I didn't pay much attention to those words, and as soon as I lost my way, I had no choice but to knock on the first house I saw smoke coming out of.

Two gentlemen, who introduced themselves as such, welcomed me into their home, and I reciprocated their hospitality with my attention and my photographs, listening to stories from times gone by.

They tried to sell me an old rusty tractor, and perhaps it was the atmosphere, but I was almost tempted. One of them told me about when a strange yellow vest saved his life. They say not to go into the mountains when it rains, as wolves are often on the hunt.

Time was marked by the acrid smell of cigars and the sound of axes chopping wood for the fireplace.

We said goodbye, but not before they showed me the beehive in the garden.

Strange people live in the mountains. But I don't think I'll listen to those who tell me to stay at home."
